RAPID RESPONSE

The Rapid Response process is designed to link employees facing layoffs with the services and jobs that are available through local One Stops.  The Rapid Response team provides local on-site assistance and a coordinated presentation of available resources and services to help employees, unions, companies and communities deal with large layoffs.

Benefits of Using the Rapid Response Process:

  • Speeds up and organizes outplacement activities to assist workers in finding new jobs.
  • Helps stabilize the employee-employer environment during a layoff/closing.
  • Helps maintain worker productivity prior to layoff.
  • Rapid Response teams convey information about workforce services and resources to help dispel rumors and provide answers to individual questions.
  • Coordinates the delivery of services to the employees.
  • Unemployment Compensation representatives are available to provide information and answer questions on UC benefits or Trade Readjustment Allowance program.
